Marijuana Use in Pregnancy

Are you pregnant? Are you pregnant using marijuana?

Dr. Ruth Lucas is seeking volunteers to be part of a confidential paid research study being done at the School of Nursing at Storrs Hall. The research study will examine pain among pregnant women who use or do not use marijuana. Participation will include completing questionnaires, undergoing a sensory assessment, urine drug screening and having blood drawn.

You may be eligible to participate if you are ages 18-40 years, no other children living in your home, 1st trimester of pregnancy, being able to read and speak English, carrying a single fetus and having access to a phone.

You will not be eligible if you use drugs other than marijuana and nicotine and have known complications during pregnancy.
