Welcome all and thank you for visiting.
The UConn Center for Advancement in Managing Pain (CAMP) is a diverse group of faculty, researchers, clinicians, students, and others, who all collectively invest their time, research, and curiosity in creating a path toward innovation in pain research.
Our community of members spans across the UConn campuses. It is this unique membership body that excites me most about the future achievements of our organization. We are all united with the common goal to advance pain research, education, and service.
We study pain at many levels, going beyond the standard “bench to bedside” approach to pain management.
Our members are innovators in their respective fields. They investigate individual cell physiology, probe the cannabinoid system, help patients control pain-related stress, and use cutting-edge methods to objectively quantify pain responses in patients.
Our goal at UConn’s Center for Advancement in Pain Management is to develop effective pain treatments, with an emphasis on non-opioid approaches.
If you share our goals, please consider joining us. There are many ways to get involved. You may join as a member or associate member, enroll in one of our ongoing research studies, or volunteer in one of our member laboratories.
Together, we can decrease suffering and improve the quality of life for patients here in Connecticut and beyond.
Sincerely,
Steven G. Kinsey, PhD
